George!
ReplyDeleteBlue Herons are a Migratory Bird. I don't know where you live, but, here in the US, it's a FEDERAL OFFENSE to even have one in your possession.

Hello!
ReplyDeleteMy boy harvested his first turkey ever. My buddy and I had heard a bit about how to preserve the fan, but after watching your video I realized that I didn't do enough. It's been three weeks under Borax. I am hoping to go back and salvage it. It's not stinking and I don't see any bugs.
Any tips as I try this?
Thanks!!
Hugh

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what part you forgot to do, or at what stage the fan is at. But, I'm going to guess that you formed it into a fan and it has been in that position with Borax. Did you not remove the fat? If not, you'll need to rehydrate the base. Put a wet towel around the base until rehydrated. Put in frig if it's going to be several days until you can get to it. After it's rehydrated, remove all the fat. Then, follow the video. You have to get all the fat. If this isn't where you had the question, email me again with a bit more info. Hope this helps. - Rick
